With a love and passion for art, Sheryl Levene began formal art study at the age of 15. Studying with Lee Crawford at the LeeĀ  rawford School of design began her desire to expand her wo,rld of creativity. Her natural artistic ability kept her exploring and honing her skills at art classes with many highly recognized artists such as Jean Cook, Donna Aldridge of the Aldridge Studio, Donna Yeager, Loreta Feeback, Charles Stegner and Larry Mansker. Levene began her career as a commercial artist serving as art director of the KC Happenings Magazine for 6 years. Finding deeper satisfaction in painting, she built and opened her own substanial studio which is open to the public. Her prolific work is garnering serious private and corporate attention and can be found as an impressive part of many collections. Levene is a valued member of the Greater Kansas City Association of Artists, The Artist’s Coalition and the Mid-American Pastel Society.
